June 10th

Division 7 has had a very fun week.  On Tuesday we studied more about octopuses (or octopi - I googled it and actually both are okay to use) and then we made these cool octopuses out of dough!  Thanks to Quinn's mom for finding the idea and Mason and Marco's mom for making the dough and helping us create them.  Everyone loved making them and many loved eating them too!

Our field trip was awesome!  Thanks to all the parents who were able to join us, we literally had a 2 child to 1 adult ratio!  Highlights of the boat trip were driving the boat, seeing the seals, sea lions and learning about  the different animals/birds that live in the area and the different resources (like lumber and sulfur) we saw that are being exported.

The students have brought home their spelling and Poetry books, these can be kept at home as we won't be using them again this year.  Don't forget you could continue to use the Spelling City link on this blog to continue to practice spelling even over the summer.  Over the  next couple of weeks please check your child's backpack daily as we will be starting to send supplies (used and new) home. Thanks.

Parent volunteers needed!  If you would be willing to take a tub or two of manipulatives home to wash that would be really appreciated, just let me know.  Thanks so much!!

Mindfulness day is on Monday.  Please wear your kindness counts t-shirts or pink, black or yellow.
Fun day is on Friday and volunteers are still needed.  Please send a note if you are available thanks.
